My Hometown

My wife is from Moulton. She states this with pride and will tell everyone she meets.

I don't have a hometown. Growing up I lived in many small towns all over north Louisiana.

However, with amazing Google My Maps Technology, you can now use Google Maps to interactively discover where McGuffee grew up.

Just follow this link --> Where is James McGuffee from?

But how did you come to live in so many towns? Seems to me Baton Rouge was your Eastmost town and then you went West.

I lived in so many towns (before I left school at age 13) because my Dad kept changing employers. He is a Southern Baptist minister and we moved approximately every 2 years from 1970-1983.

I joke that as a young minister my father only had about two years worth of sermons so we had to move or the congregation might start noticing the repeats.

Me, I noticed.

For example, whenever he would go to a new place, on the Sunday night service, his sermon was always "Earthquakes: God's Alarm Clock". Thankfully, my Dad's quantity of sermons and theological depth has improved over the years.
